Because the distance between the computers of this type networking is more. So due this more distance the transferring data rate is decrease.
Third type of networking is called "MAN". This type of networking is use in Cities, towns and big cities to combine many computers to each other.It is very useful for wide distance areas. In this type of networking the speed for data traveling is fast from WAN, But it is less than LAN. because the distance is high as compared to LAN. It is the main reason which decreases the data rate of speed.
